This paper proposes IPv6-based next generation network which is mainly operated based on IPv6 features. This identifies definition, overall architecture and general requirements of IPv6-based NGN. Until recently Internet Protocol (IP) based networks have been constructed using the Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4). The Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) is emerging to form the basis of the next generation of IP networks. It is expected that IPv6-based networks will gradually and finally completely replace IPv4-based networks, in order to overcome the ultimate limitations of IPv4 protocol. This approach will be applied to Next Generation Networks (NGNs) in a same way.
