Full-Diversity Precoding Design of Bit-Interleaved Coded Multiple Beamforming With Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing
The demand for wireless services is constantly increasing. At the same time, research on Multi-Input Multi-Output (MIMO) wireless systems has been ongoing for more than a decade, with increasing success. MIMO systems are a way to attack the increasing capacity demand for wireless services since they offer superior spectral efficiency and improved performance within a given bandwidth. A commonly employed MIMO approach is known as beamforming via Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) of the MIMO channel matrix. This approach enables spatial multiplexing, enabling increased data rates. It also enhances system performance. This technique requires the Channel State Information (CSI) to be available at both the transmitter and receiver.
