Grid Based Agnostic Middleware for Enhancing Intrusion Detection Systems in Ad Hoc Networks
With the increase in the adoption of Wireless Ad Hoc networks, the expectation of the security for mobile hosts is becoming more serious. The intrinsic vulnerable characteristics of Mobile Networks without underlying infrastructure are low rejections to unauthorized intrusions. In this paper, the main focus is on the development of Grid Based Intrusion Detection System (GIDS) for Ad hoc networks. A new architecture is being presented which uses the basic principles of Grid Computing and apply them to Intrusion Detection Systems to maintain the proper security of network. The research is not based on new algorithms or products capable to solve security problem in Ad hoc networks but out goal is to define a new process and software architecture which minimize the security risks in Wireless networks.
