Wireless communications play an important role for providing global information access to the users. One of the main challenges for seamless mobility is the availability of simple and robust handoff algorithms, which allow a mobile node to roam among heterogeneous wireless networks and also meets the challenges for the emerging B3G wireless networks. This paper presents a novel handover algorithm based on a bandwidth allocation. Using the proposed bandwidth based handover algorithm, handover probability is evaluated for two and three heterogeneous networks. Handover probability analysis has been done for different configurations such as handover probability VS traffic load, and handover probability VS different threshold values.
