It is well known that the network infrastructure to communicate with vehicles with broadband access will play a major role in future telecommunications. Therefore radio over fiber future networks will need to guaranty a high availability of the communication service. This paper provides a guideline for network design selection in terms of network availability, reliability and fiber distance. The authors present a comparative analysis of network topologies for Radio over Fiber networks. They present results using different topologies in terms of availability, reliability, and fiber distance of the networks.
