How and When to Embrace Oracle Business Intelligence
Today, a new view of Business Intelligence (BI) is being embraced by leading organizations. One that transcends isolated views of individual business functions, instead extending across the entire enterprise, providing "Lenses" into the details of business operations as well as broad, insightful views of how the enterprise is performing as an integrated whole. A new view of BI was presented, particularly how Oracle BI applications supported the understanding the business through three lenses: Customers (for example, CMO, marketing, CRM), Organization (for example, Financial, HR), and Operations (technology, supply chain). Beyond understanding these lenses individually, smarter BI would also combine these views to gain new integrated views to enable executive decision-making.
