Because they are stressful, most of the people try to avoid tight deadlines. A client calls up with a high-paying job, but it needs to be done next week. Is it worth the hassle of interrupting your workflow and toiling deep into the night to make a little extra cash? Or would it be less of a headache to just turn the job down and work on a project with a more leisurely timeline? If the anxiety is about the deadline, then the energy really focuses on the result. If there is not anxiety about a deadline, all of the anxiety goes right to the creative part.
