The major technique which is put to use in sales being promoted by telephone, is that of telemarketing. It is a proven technique used to drive sales of a product or a service. Direct calling, usually from call centers, will bring about a one on one conversation between seller and potential consumer. Good telemarketers will engage the consumer immediately. Telephone sales allow many aspect of trading to be done, beyond the initial point of selling something. Being able to deal with sales, customer service and invoicing queries on the phone makes Telemarketing a viable way to run a business.
