Executive Summary

Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs) is a new emerging technology in wireless networks. WMNs are flexible, cost effective and light infrastructure based wireless technology. The IEEE has set off the task group for 802.11s to reconcile about the WMNs development. The WMNS draft still far from its final version but major characteristic are defined and work is still in progress. Many researchers had done their wireless mesh network experiments through simulations. The simulation results and real world implementation results have big differences. In this paper, the authors have set up the testbed in their lab. They have used some different windows size for TCP and UDP transmission and analyze those throughput results.
