Executive Summary

This paper introduced the framework of the authors' MCOP implementation in Linux environment and proposed some implementation specific features that enhance the MCOP performance. Their evaluation clarified that MCOP is working effectively and in a scalable way. MCOP is traffic controlling protocol and is able to cooperate with plenty of other protocols such as authentication protocols and security protocols. It is also possible to establish fault tolerant system so that they can avoid MCS to be the single point of failure. Their current implementation is based on IGMP version 2 over IP version 4 network.
