Executive Summary

Enterprise Content Management (ECM) refers to technologies used to capture, manage, store, preserve, and deliver content and documents related to organizational processes (Duhon, 2005a). Microsoft Share-PointTM provides the ability to create, publish, and manage content (Microsoft, 2007a). Through analysis of 25 sources published between 2002 and 2007, this literature review provides an introduction to SharePointTM and describes its role as a specific selected ECM in order to assist information managers in the implementation of ECM.
