Increasing Efficiencies in Government with a Managed Print Environment

It is no secret that government agencies are still grappling with budget deficits despite announcements that the recession is over. One area in IT management fraught with unnecessary costs and inefficiencies in government agencies is printing, and print management is surfacing as an area that is ripe for change. When done correctly, a managed print environment can contribute to major cost savings. This paper will examine some of the current problems surrounding printing in government agencies-including unnecessarily high costs, insufficient productivity and less-than-stellar security-and explain how a managed print environment can help agencies solve these problems, even while on a tight budget.
