Executive Summary

To enhance the embedding capacity of image steganography and provide an Imperceptible stego-image for human vision, an integer wavelet based data hiding with variable bit length substitution method employing secret-key is proposed in this paper. The new technique embeds binary bit stream in 8-bit color image (RGB channel). The technique embeds the hidden information in the wavelet domain of the cover image and uses a variable bit length calculation algorithm. Besides, the embedded confidential information can be extracted from stego-images without the assistance of original images.
