Executive Summary

This whitepaper characterizes the relationship between the Business Analyst and an IT Service Management based IT organization. It also suggests a generalized model of requirements and how best practices, such as the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), contributes to meeting enterprise-level requirements. These requirements are based on key concepts from IT Service Management, Business Analysis and software development. Within this paper, that model is referred to as the Enterprise Requirements Hierarchy (ERH).
