Java Design and Coding for Virtualized Environments
The author often asked by application developers: "How should their application is designed differently because it will be deployed in a virtual server?" This paper will attempt to answer that question by giving guidance on Java programming techniques that minimize CPU and memory use - allowing user to create more efficient applications for virtual deployments. Although they work in IBM System z, this paper is not meant to be specific to System z. These recommendations will work for any virtualized platform.
