Jitter Analysis of Continuous -Time Sigma - Delta Wideband ADC for Software Defined Radio
Software Defined Radio (SDR) system is basically consists of antenna, Radio Frequency (RF) down/up converters, Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) and Digital to Analog Converters (DAC). In an ideal software radio, the data conversion occurs immediately after the signal received from the receiving antenna. Apart from SDR, Modern mobile communication receivers require high speed analog-to-digital converters which provide a high resolution for a wide digitization bandwidth. The ADC architecture that has a sampling frequency much greater than that the Nyquist sampling criteria belongs to the category of over sampled ADC.
