Executive Summary

Cloud computing has been the most prevalent technology in the past few years. Clouds consist of a collection of virtualized resources, which include both computational and storage facilities that can be provisioned on demand, depending on the users needs. Users are charged on a pay-per-use basis. This paper gives a quick overview of cloud and describes the key infrastructure elements for cloud computing. This paper is a brief survey based of readings on "Cloud" computing and it tries to address, related research topics and challenges ahead.
