Executive Summary

One definition of leadership is "Leadership is influencing people by providing purpose, direction, and motivation while operating to accomplish a mission and improve the organization". Leadership is having the ability of knowing yourself, having a vision that is well communicated, building trust among your colleagues, and taking effective actions to realize your own leadership potential. Everyone is a leader because at some point everyone has the ability to influence someone else, however, everyone will not become a great leader, but we can all be taught to become a better leader. This paper is about a leader's influence, and how that influence can empower others.
