Linux Based Operating System Proposal for the Acquisition and Processing of Data in Embedded Devices

The identified optimization techniques applied to the boot loader, kernel, file system and applications greatly reduce the boot time of the operating system in general and increase the execution speed of each application in particular. In this paper, each component showed a notable reduction in the size of the executable thanks to the removal of driver support and unnecessary functionalities in every phase of the boot chain. Linux based operating systems are reliable candidates for the development of critical execution embedded applications.
