Existing mobile peer-to-peer solutions focus on improving the operation of peer-to-peer networks by inventing better routing algorithms or new ways of discovering or transferring data in order to substitute previous inventions with more efficient ones. Using location information is one way of improving peer-to-peer systems. This paper analyzes and compares some existing mobile peer-to-peer systems, paying special attention to how location information is handled in each solution and how integrity of location information is taken into account.
