LRAC: A Hybrid Access Control Model for Virtual Campus Grid Organization
Grid has established itself as an area which enables multiple organizations to share computing related resources under a common platform called as virtual organization. One of the key challenges in managing virtual organization is protecting the assets of the organization. Though each physical organization might use different methods for authentication and authorization, a common platform is required for managing assertion, authentication and authorization in a virtual organization. Role Based Access Control (RBAC) and Attribute Based Access Control (ABAC) have been successfully deployed for authentication management. In this paper, the authors propose a new access control model, Low Resource Access Control (LRAC) specifically for campus grid based virtual organizations.
