Mammography Image Authentication: A Comparison of Combined Watermaking Techniques Based on Reversible Watermarking and CDMA in Frequency Domain

Executive Summary

In this paper, the authors study a new watermarking method: Combined Reversible Watermarking/CDMA-DFT called RW/CDMA-DFT (Code Division Multiple Access-Discret Fourrier Transform) and they compare its result with other combined techniques. The first one is based on the RW and the CDMA in frequency domain DWT (Discrete Wavelet Transform) noted RW/CDMA-DWT, the second is based on the RW and the CDMA in DCT (Discrete Cosine Transform) noted RW/CDMA-DCT. RW aims to verify the authentication property whereas the second one aims to check the integrity property of the image and to keep the confidentiality of the patient data. The new scheme of watermarking verifies the three security properties Integrity, Authentication and Confidentiality of mammography image and patient information.
