What is the effect of product market integration on the market equilibrium in the presence of international network externalities in consumption? To address this question, the authors set up a spatial two-country model and they find that the economic forces at work may have an ambiguous effect on prices. They have shown that market integration may have an ambiguous effect on prices in presence of international network externalities. This result depends on the assumption about the compatibility between the local and foreign good.
