In this paper, the authors investigate how to design pre-coders to achieve full diversity and low decoding complexity for MIMO systems. First, they assume that they have 2 transmitters each with multiple antennas and 2 receivers each with multiple antennas. Each transmitter sends code-words to respective receiver at the same time. It is difficult to handle this problem because of interference. Therefore, they propose an orthogonal transmission scheme that combines space-time codes and array processing to achieve low-complexity decoding and full diversity for transmitted signals. Simulation results validate their theoretical analysis.
