Mobile Agent Architecture for a Distributed Information Management System
Collection and dissemination of large amount of information is increasingly becoming a necessity in distributed systems. Although there are different models used to control and manage the flow of information in distributed systems, there is a need for an efficient model with high degree of autonomy, flexibility and adaptability. This paper introduces a distributed architecture design supporting collection and dissemination of information using mobile agents. The distributed information system is divided into zones each of which includes a mobile agent interacting with entities in the zone to collect and disseminate information. Another mobile agent travels across zones to pass information between zones.
