Mobile Based Data Acquisition System for Wireless Sensor Networks

In WSNs the data are collected from all the nodes and they are routed to central server for processing. Transmitting the data using an Ethernet as gate way may expend more power. It also seems unnecessary if the users are near the sensor nodes. In those types of applications the mobile phones can be utilized instead of the system. For short distance data transmission (to get the data from WSN nodes) Bluetooth facility in the mobile is used and to upload the data to internet for further processing, the GPRS facility available in the mobile is used. It reduces the transmission delay and also consumes less power than the system.
