Mobility Management Architecture for Transport System

Next generation wireless/mobile networks will be IP based cellular networks integrating the internet with cellular networks. In this paper, the authors propose a new architecture for a high speed transport system and a mobile management protocol for mobile internet users in a transport system. Existing mobility management protocols (MIPv6, HMIPv6) do not consider real world fast moving wireless hosts (e.g. passengers in a train). For this reason, the authors define a virtual organization (VO) and proposed the VO architecture for the transport system.
