Mobility Prediction and Critical Nodes Based Database Transactions Using Relay Nodes in MANETs
In a Mobile Ad-hoc NETwork (MANET), traditional mobile nodes can move around freely and having limited energy resources. Database transactions in MANET have to be done by considering the issues such as mobility of traditional mobile node and energy limitation. In order to manage these issues, the authors deploy special nodes with high energy resources called relay nodes whose mobility can be controlled by the network. They present the relay deployment problem to minimize the energy consumption by the traditional mobile nodes when serving more than one transactions. The simulation study of proposed solution is experimented in terms of energy consumption and the effect of relay nodes.
