The authors study expected interference in a dense wireless network with frequency reuse one. They first present a geometric network model for a random cellular wireless system. Analytical expressions for the expected interference as well as bounds on the signal-to-interference ratio are then derived which can be used to investigate network capacity behavior with network density. Various results are obtained which show that the per-cell capacity is independent of network density and thus the sum network capacity scales linearly with the network size.
