Multi Path Based Energy Efficient Fast Reconfiguration Mechanism in Wireless Mesh Network
Frequent link failures are experienced in multi-hop wireless networks, due to channel interference, dynamic obstacles and bandwidth demands. These failures cause severe performance degradation in wireless mesh network, which needs manual network management for recovery. An Autonomous network Reconfiguration System (ARS) algorithm is proposed in this paper, to overcome the above said problems. By using channel and radio diversities in wireless mesh networks, necessary changes are made in local radio and channel assignments to recover from failures. Thus the automatic reconfiguration technique co-operatively reconfigures the network settings among local mesh routers. ARS is implemented in ns-2 simulators which provide better performance than existing system.
