Neoware Inc. began operating as a unit of HP after which Neoware Thin Client products started to be marketed as HP Neoware Thin Clients. Product familiarity and positioning information rather than an in-depth technical examination of the individual thin clients is intended to be a general introduction to the Neoware Thin Client products for HP Support personnel through this paper. Further training will provide further detail about the technical aspects of the Neoware models as well as the plans and procedures for managing support for the Neoware hardware and software. Various business operations were acquired by Neoware prior to HP taking over. This paper takes into account the e140, which is one of the most expandable thin clients that comes with Windows CE, Neolinux, or Windows XPe. Useful in demanding applications, this thin client supports advanced display technology including the latest DVI interface. This way it is able to provide clear video quality along with the facility of attaching dual monitors. The thin client has a PCI slot and upgradeable flash/RAM. It has been designed to be useful with Server-Based Computing (SBC) as well as Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments. Advantages of the e140 thin client include its ability to perform, the facility to be expanded further, an optional PCI expansion slot, and DVI video.
