This paper introduces an integrated network simulation of electric transmission grid, developed for the NNSA research project in the institution. Simulating various grid configurations and contingencies in parallel using networked computers (instead of mainframe computers) dramatically improves the cost-effectiveness of the previous simulation platform, which was built around a single computer implementation. A GUI master control module implanted within a laptop computer can be used to configure the environment and view the simulation results graphically. The system has been tested by using a standard 9-bus model and then a NERC WWMG Model to study the impact of nuclear power facility failures.
