Node Prediction - Routing in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks
Mobile Ad Hoc networks pose a problem of finding stable multi-hop routes for communication between sources to destination. This paper proposes an adaptive routing protocol which extends Ad hoc On-demand Multipath Distance Vector (AOMDV) routing. Specifically, the proposed approach (NP-AOMDV) focuses on the node prediction by using different approaches. Predicting the node movement can be done by avoiding the frequent link failures in Ad hoc environments. The performance of the NP-AOMDV, throughput, End-To-End delay, Routing control overhead compares with the well known Ad Hoc on Demand Multipath Distance Vector Routing. Simulation results show the improved network performance of the authors' proposed approach (NP-AOMDV) over than existing multipath routing protocol (AOMDV).
