NWSNS and Its Applications

Recent advances in Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) technology, wireless communications, and digital electronics have enabled the development of low-cost, low power, Multi functional sensor nodes that are small in size and communicate in short distances. Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) system is autonomous and operates unattended, adaptive to the environment. So it's widely used in military, environment, health, home and other commercial areas. ZigBee is a new standard intended for low cost devices in automation, home controls and computer peripherals. For sending sensor readings, which are typically a few tens of bytes, high bandwidth isn't necessary, and ZigBee's low bandwidth helps it fulfill its goals of low power, low cost, and robustness.
