On Integrating First Person Shooter Games and Ubiquitous Environments
Simulations of real time tactical situations, embodied by first person shooter games, are particularly amenable applications for integration within a ubiquitous computing environment. These games are significantly different from once applications yet can still strongly benefit from the advantages of ubiquitous computing. It discusses the investigation of such integration. The goals are to push the game interface into a smart environment and to pull ubicomp into the game design.
