On Sharing Viral Video Over an Ad Hoc Wireless Network

The proliferation of mobile devices that can stream video (laptops, smartphones, and tablets) has marked a dramatic increase in demand for streaming video. At the same time, content generation and dissemination has become dramatically easier - most phones have installed video-cameras, and knowledge of a video can spread extremely rapidly to vast numbers of people, through social networks including e-mail, Facebook, Twitter, and the like. As deployed capacity approaches saturation, the authors need new transmission architectures to guarantee the wireless networks continue to deliver traffic effectively and efficiently.
