Optimal Power Allocation in Multi-Hop Wireless Networks With Finite Buffers

With expanding wireless applications and increasing demand for wireless data rates, it is significant to develop power control algorithms that take maximum advantage of available capacity while satisfying certain Quality of Service (QoS) requirements such as minimum data rate and end-to-end delay constraints. Recently, back-pressure algorithm and its extensions have been widely employed in developing optimal scheduling in wireless networks. Throughput/utility-optimal routing and scheduling algorithms have been developed, with suboptimal algorithms and distributed algorithms proposed.
