Executive Summary

Mobile Adhoc NETwork (MANET) contains the collection of wireless mobile nodes and without any infrastructure. These wireless mobile nodes can dynamically form a network. In the MANET, the nods are continuously moving and the movement of the nodes are uncertain. Also these mobile wireless nodes are battery operated. Hence the failure of battery in the nodes causes the reduction in life of the network. Similarly link failure due to continuous node movement can also suffers the network life time. Each node is responsible for routing information among them and hence it act as a node and router. Caches play an important role in DSR. They are used to maintain the detected routing information for future use.
