When HR managers are asked how their organization selects new frontline leaders, the answer is often: "The individual contributor with the best technical qualifications." When asked if this is effective, the reply is also unanimous: "No." Companies are desperate for better ways to select and quickly develop new leaders. They also need more efficient and effective ways to take their existing frontline leaders to higher levels of skill and competence to deal with complex and ever-changing business challenges.
