Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing System with Frequency Offset Estimation
Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) system, use a large number of parallel narrowband subcarriers instead of a single wide-band carrier to transport information. Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing is the modulation technique use in digital communication systems. Carrier frequency offset occurs due to Doppler effect or noise. Carrier Frequency Offsets (CFOs) is the Offset between the transmitter and the receiver oscillators. CFO damages the orthogonality of the carries, resulting in degradation of the systems performance. Carrier frequency offset estimation method is discussed in this paper. In this paper one complex training sequence use, which can effectively estimate carrier frequency offset in the time domain and frequency domain. Here fine and coarse frequency is estimated to improve the improve the system performance.
