Free registration required

Executive Summary

This paper presents a decentralized infrastructure, called PeerWeb, to make available Web pages on Internet through the P2P networks. Different from the conventional Web, the proposed approach does not need, for instance, a HTTP address or Web provider. PeerWeb provides a set of functionalities for publishing, locating, and replicating Web pages on Internet assuring high availability and fault tolerance. The infrastructure allows anyone who has a computer connected to the internet, even through a domestic ADSL connection, to publish Web pages through their own machines without any additional cost.
