Performance Analysis and Modelling Wireless Local Area Network Metrics
Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) uses high frequency radio waves rather than wires to communicate and transmit data. In wireless local area network links, two or more devices using some wireless distribution method and usually providing a connection through an access point to the wider internet. This gives users the mobility to move around within a local coverage area and still be connected to the network. Wireless data connections have high bit error rates, low bandwidth and long delays. In this paper, the authors main contribution is to analyze and evaluate the performance of Load, Medium access delay, Data dropped of WLAN under different data rates.
