In this paper, the authors investigate the detection range over different fading channels in Cognitive Radio Networks (CRN). Detection range is one of the key parameter in cognitive radio network, which will judge the performance of wireless communication systems. In order to make the efficient communication system, they must need to examine the impact of fading medium on detection range. They derive analytical expression for the probability of missed detection and detection range over Rayleigh, Nakagami-m, and Rician fading channels with superimposed lognormal shadowing in cognitive radio network.
