Performance Analysis of Reactive and Proactive Routing Protocols Under Varying Mobility in WIMAX Environment

Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) is currently one of the hottest technologies in wireless; it's a standard-based on the IEEE 802.16 wireless technology that provides high throughput broadband connections over long distance, which supports Point to Multi-Point (PMP) broadband wireless access. This paper presented an analysis on those routing protocols especially designed for wireless networks. A study and comparison on the performance of reactive protocol (AODV) and proactive protocols (OLSR, DSDV) for Mobile WiMAX environment is done under varying mobility conditions.
