Performance Analysis of Static and Dynamic Nodes in AODV, DSR and DSDV Protocols
Mobile Ad hoc NETwork (MANET) is a collection of wireless mobile nodes that dynamically form a network temporarily without any support of central administration. Routing protocols play important role in determining performance parameters such as packet delivery fraction, throughput, packet loss etc. of any ad hoc communication network. There are several familiar routing protocols like DSDV, AODV, DSR, etc. which have been proposed for providing communication among all the nodes in the network. In this paper, the authors have compared different types of nodes in MANET like static nodes, dynamic nodes by using Dynamic Source Routing protocol (DSR), Destination Sequenced Distance Vector (DSDV), Ad hoc On-demand Distance Vector routing (AODV) protocols and compared the performance of these nodes by using NS2.35.
