Executive Summary

An image is often corrupted by noise in its acquisition and transmission. Removing noise from the original image is still a challenging problem for researchers. In this paper, three types of noise (Gaussian noise, Salt & Pepper noise and Speckle noise) is used and image de-noising is performed for different noises by Median filter and Wiener filter, Linear Statistical filter, Symlet Wavelet. Further results have been compared for all noises between different filters and Symlet wavelet Transform. Further results have been compared for all noises.
