Executive Summary

The Doctor of Practical Theology (DPT) 1 is a practice-based research degree aimed at professionals from a range of contexts and institutions across the public, private and voluntary sectors. The course was designed with part-time students in mind, but students can also enroll full-time. Students are expected to draw on their professional, voluntary or ministerial practices to inform their research. The DPT is assessed by means of portfolio work, literature review, research proposal, publishable article and dissertation.
