Executive Summary

The most popular cooperative relay protocols remain Compress and Forward (CF), Decode and Forward (DF) and Amplify and Forward(AF). In CF the signal is retransmitted with a compress version; in DF, the relay decodes the source information and then forwards it to the destination; while in AF it amplifies the source signal and forwards it to the destination. Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO), Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) and relay technology have been considered as the key technologies in the next wireless networks. In this paper the authors propose a joint power allocation for amplify and forward MIMO-OFDM relay network at the source and relay nodes, the simulation results show that the system performance can be improved greatly.
