The paper deals with the problem of preamble-based synchronization for OFDM/OQAM systems. Specifically, by exploiting the conjugate-symmetry property of a recently proposed preamble structure, a simple and robust procedure for timing and CFO synchronization is proposed. The root mean square error of the proposed algorithms and the overall performance of an OFDM/OQAM system exploiting them are evaluated via computer simulations. In the last years, Filter-Bank MultiCarrier (FBMC) systems have been taken into account for high data-rate transmissions over both wired and wireless frequency-selective channels.
