Probabilistic Approach for Selecting Energy Aware Stable Path in Wireless Sensor Networks
In multipath communications of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), data packets are forwarded towards the static Base Station (BS) through a number of paths, using a set of relay nodes. The shortest path between a source node and the destination node does not always guarantee a stable path. In this paper, a probabilistic approach for selecting energy aware stable path in WSN is proposed by which instead of choosing the shortest path, the authors are searching for a stable route based on number of relay nodes, residual battery energy along with time sharing in sleep/active mode. Calculating the most probable stable path based on battery power of relay node using Rayleigh fading model by cumulative calculation of link stability resulting route stability.
